BenQ Screen Bar Light - REVIEW

This is not a paid endorsement. It is my personal and honest testimonial of a product after spending the better part of the last 3 months using this thing daily for getting work done at my computer desk.

It's adjustable fit and elongated design display allow the BenQ light to look natural on any modern monitor. I had some concerns with an ultra-widescreen monitor going into this, but I couldn't have been happier with the results.

I have a small desk space in my house that has no room for a light, and often times I'd find myself turning every light on in the room to have the ability to see something 5 inches from my face. Late at night, this solution wasn't ideal and would make my eyes extremely tired. Enter the "BenQ ScreenBar e-Reading LED Task Lamp" with Auto-Dimming and Hue Adjustment Features, Matte Black USB Powered Office Lamp (ScreenBar_Black). This thing was exactly what my computer desk needed.

Features include: - Comply with standard light level comply with American National Standard practice for office lighting 500 lux recommendation (1000 lux in the center)

- Auto-dimming using a built-in ambient light sensor screen Bar adjusts the brightness level throughout the day for an eye-healthy workspace It can also be manually dimmed with the touch control

- Hue adjustment Adjustable color temperature to provide focus and comfort Warm light for relaxing cool light for work efficiency

- No screen glare Its asymmetrical Optical design only illuminates the desk and eliminates reflective glare off the screen found on most regular desk lampsSpace saving breakthrough design mounts on top of the monitor saving valuable space on your desk

- Fits nearly any monitor the weighted clip gently rests on nearly any monitor with thickness from 0 4" To 1 2" (1 to 3 cm)

The brightness adjuster is smooth and comprehensive, covering any lighting needs I required. Powered by USB, and sports a minimal design with a slick counterweight on its rear, this light is the definition of perfection.

While there are cheaper options for this type of lighting solution on the market, I'd be hard-pressed to find a budget screen light having anywhere close to the number of features packed into this one!

The BenQ ScreenBar e-Reading LED Task Lamp with Auto-Dimming and Hue Adjustment Features, Matte Black USB Powered Office Lamp (ScreenBar_Black) retails for $99.59 and is available on Amazon here: https://amzn.to/2NOAuxy

This might seem...random, but as someone who has seen the desktop layouts of countless IT guys—yours is surprisingly...structured. Usually it's 75 icons all slapped haphazardly onscreen with no apparent pattern and me standing there wondering how the person can find ANYTHING they're looking for. I know that's totally NOT the point of this post, but it's honestly the first thing I noticed. xDDD

Also, nice overview. I always appreciate when product reviews are concise and NOT ten pages long (and full of technical terminology I don't understand, LOL).
