EA Bans Nuhre After Eddie "Unifadewalker" Pulls Strings w/Connections Behind the Scenes... and gamers are PISSED!
The gaming scene has always been pretty turbulent place, but EA's recent move with the suspension of content creator (and friend of the channel) Ara, who goes by the channel name Nuhre from EA Play has set a new and extremely alarming precedent.. and this shit needs to get called out IMMEDIATELY before it begins to spiral. Let's talk about the nutjob (below) and what she (he?) did....
According to Nuhre, the suspension isn't the result of any kind of legitimate 'violation' of EA's Terms of service, but instead, the direct result of Eddie "Unifadewalker" crying to her connections at EA. Eddie is very clearly a mentally troubled creator that has direct ties to EA and Bioware... and what took place here should NEVER happen.
Elephant in the room side note: After researching this person more, they strike me as the IRL version of Pat from those old SNL skits. I have no idea what they even are... Nor do I care - this ridiculousness goes straight to highlighting how corporate favoritism and the silencing of critical voices harms the gaming community as a whole.
The Backstory
Nuhre (Ara) has gained some very well-deserved recognition as of late for her insightful commentary and discussions covering the gaming industry, specifically Bioware and Dragon Age: The Veilguard.
Some of Ara's videos have even explored the seriously troubling patterns of favoritism amongst CERTAIN content creators, shining a spotlight on behind-the-scenes dealings that many fans suspect ...but rarely get to see confirmed. What gets discovered here, blows the lid off everything.
Ara has, in the past, criticized is Eddie "Unifadewalker" who... has a reputation for stirring controversy by pushing her trans agenda to the forefront and attempting to silence anyone who questions her. Most of you will recognize this 'Eddie' character from their infamous video cringingly 'celebrating' the ability to add "trans scars" in a character creator of Dragon Age: The Veilguard.
Eddie is apparently a woman who pretends to be a man...? I don't know tbh - nor can I be bothered to keep up with this shit... Whatever they are, it instantly displays red flags and warning signs to everyone of having a severe mental illness. Eddie not only has questionable views IMHO, but also now, a willingness to weaponize their personal connections for retaliation.
Eddie is an EA Partner with close ties to Corrine Busche, the (also trans - above) Game Director for Dragon Age: The Veilguard - and an extremely influential figure at Bioware these days - according to Nuhre.
Eddie reportedly used their friendships and influence behind the scenes to orchestrate Nuhre’s suspension from EA Play. The reason? Inappropriate Conduct - EA EA Staff, Partners, & Sponsors...
Nuhre Speaks Out
In a statement to SmashJT allowed to be chared with everyone, Nuhre explained the situation:
"Eddie hates me. He has been trying to intimidate me by threatening cease and desist letters when I reacted to a couple of his videos. Then I got equally as big as him, and that didn’t work anymore. He’s been trying to get me deplatformed with no success, but he has direct ties with EA. He is an EA Partner, got flown into the Veilguard camp despite not even having 10k followers at the time, and has talked directly on multiple occasions with Corinne Busche, Veilguard’s CEO. He’s pulled his connections to get me suspended from EA Play for seven days, probably by claiming ‘targeted harassment, transphobia, and hateful attitude.’”
Nuhre pointed out that EA’s action only resulted in a temporary suspension:
“Whatever he said to them, it only warranted a seven-day ban, so it wasn’t even good enough to get me permanently banned. All my criticism has been over YouTube and Twitch. I only used the EA app for single-player games.”
This raises questions about EA’s decision-making process. If the allegations were serious enough to warrant suspension, why was it only temporary? And if they weren’t, why take action at all? And most importantly, EA now suspends people on Platforms unrelated to where a disagreement occurs? Who decides this and why? I have so many questions...
Corporate Favoritism and Narrative Control
Eddie’s ability to leverage personal connections to silence critics like Nuhre is troubling. The gaming industry thrives on open dialogue and critique, but incidents like this ones shows just how companies can be influenced by insiders to suppress dissenting voices. By allowing favoritism to dictate policy, EA risks alienating ALL of their fans and losing whatever credibility they still have these days.
The attempt to control the narrative is already backfiring. As Nuhre’s audience continues to grow, more gamers are likely to see this as an attempt to silence a critic rather than address legitimate concerns about Bioware and EA’s practices. Many Youtubers have already picked up on this story - and tbh, EA looks terrible here.
It’s worth noting that Nuhre’s critiques are not baseless attacks but informed opinions on Bioware’s missteps, such as their failure to replicate the success of Dragon Age: Origins and their recent divisive creative decisions. The fact that EA moved forward with a ban on her speaks volumes here.
A Dangerous Precedent
This situation is not just about the whole 'one creator versus another' thing. It sets a dangerous precedent where content creators w/corporate connections can (and WILL) use those ties to punish any critics. If unchecked, this discourages others from speaking out against industry practices, ultimately stifling accountability and growth... Creating an ecosystem of online discourse of toxic positivity instead, hurting the entire industry and unjustly penalizing those who dare speak out.
Eddie’s actions reflect poorly on EA’s governance and judgment. A gaming giant like EA should be fostering dialogue, not taking any sides in petty disputes. By allowing internal politics to dictate external enforcement, they're damaging their reputation and credibility even further.
Final Thoughts
Nuhre’s suspension from EA Play has sparked outrage among so many of her supporters, who see this as a blatant attempt to stifle her voice. Eddie, who has become infamous for their polarizing actions, appears to be using their position to target a critic rather than engage in meaningful dialogue. This kind of behavior, fully embraced and enabled by corporate favoritism, is a gross stain on the gaming industry.
In the long run, this strategy is bound to fail. The gaming community values transparency, authenticity and fairness. Attempts to suppress dissenting voices always leads to greater scrutiny. EA and Bioware would do well to consider the implications of this incident and apologize publicly for what they did here - It's a really bad look.
Gamers won’t stay silent when faced with injustice. For now, all eyes are on EA to see whether they will continue down this dangerous path... or take steps to rectify the situation.
But it's EA, so... don't hold your breath, just your wallet... shut tight. In the meantime, check out Nuhre's content and give her a sub. She's an EXCELLENT creator and I hope she's able to use this as an opportunity to grow her channel even more. She deserves it.

If I was that person,I would probably go after them hard, which would be to challenge their Pathetic ban because obviously some Wackjob activist took this woman as a threat and they chose to go the root of throwing out a Pathetic ban. To me,this individual that perpetrated this act is a Total Coward. I bet if this situation is brought out into the open fully and enough peoples talk about it,then I'm sure Bioware & EA will have to respond back and possibly backtrack their Retarded ban because they won't want the bad press
Thanks for the article Smash, now i know the full context of what's happened to Nuhre.
Unfortunately EA and Bioware aren't the great companies they used to be. Now they don't care about gamers and because they are ignoring gamers opinions and keep selling their DEI-ridden games gamers will stop buying them.
I'm 100% agree with hr_pavel comment that's why i won't repeat what he already said.
Bioware and EA at large are staffed by activists and while unpleasant, all left-wing activists will fight tooth and nail to block and deplatform any critic of their ideology and products (such as denying review copies). The only way we as a community can improve our games is to stop giving them money. If Dragon Age will lose them 50-100 million dollars, there's only so many games EA will be willing to fund with such massive losses when they get nothing in return, they can't even pat themselves on the back with a GOTY award so there is literally nothing in it for them. We get the industry we tolerate and the only way we raise the standards of games…
