Concord Lead Developer Demands Coworkers Address Her As “Professor”

Updated: Aug 25, 2024

Before delving too deep into Firewalk Studios, I want to first invite you to join an exclusive group: By becoming a Smasher for just $5 a month, you can gain access to a deeper dive into the broken mess that the video game industry has become, including this specific studio.

Call me "The Professor"!

Firewalk Studios, already under scrutiny for the beta release of what many (including myself) are calling an impending flop 'Concord', is also grappling with significant internal strife, according to a whistleblower.

These secret details shine a light on not just the operational failures, but the personal dynamics that might be influencing the studio's output.

You know... Get woke, go broke? well - this place is where that mind virus goes to mutate...

Lisa Brown, who goes by @Wertle on Twitter (Now in protected mode after being exposed, of course) a developer at Firewalk, recently declared themselves as non-binary and required all coworkers to refer to her as the "Professor" within the workplace. Something she does not have any professional credentials for, but hey... Details, am I right?

But here's where it gets really crazy...

This change, according to the source, has led to enforced company-wide adjustments in address and interaction. Meetings have taken on a weird life of their own, characterized by phrases like "Teaching/learning with the Professor" which, as reported, have not been universally well-received by the staff... But many who work there are afraid to speak up, due to a very left-leaning political environment - and they work in fear of repercussions for trying to speak out.

Brown's influence appears to extend into more contentious areas. The whistleblower details how Brown has been vocal about their political beliefs, expressing a disdain for guns. Yes. You read that right. This dev doesn't have an affinity for weapons, yet worked on developing a squad based hero SHOOTER. This strikes me as someone who probably isn't the greatest fit for... I dunno... working on that type of game. The same thing happened with that Nick developer on Halo. It's becoming a very strange trend.

Not being a fan of guns would be bad enough, but according to the source, Lisa was also advocating for the firing of any unvaccinated staff members. These stances, while perhaps reflective of personal convictions, are suggested to contribute to a divisive and uncomfortable atmosphere at Firewalk Studios.

Concord flopped hard during the open beta

The impact of these internal dynamics is speculated to be a contributing factor to the lackluster performance of 'Concord' during its beta release. I mean, let's be real - that $40 price point didn't do it any favors out of the gate either... The game, initially envisioned by Sony as a major release, has not come close to meeting even the lowest of expectations, leading to concerns about the studio's future prospects and its management practices. The assertions made by the whistleblower are part of a broader investigation into the studio's culture and operational efficiency. As I continue to gather and verify more information, a more comprehensive report is available to those who have joined as Smashers.

This is an ongoing investigation into Firewalk Studios and the employees working there. It aims to uncover the layers of complexity behind the scenes, providing a clearer understanding of how personal dynamics and professional practices are intertwining to shape the future of 'Concord'. From what i've seen so far, it's not a pretty picture. Stay tuned for more in-depth coverage that you can access by becoming a Smasher, where I delve deeper into the stories behind the headlines.

This article is just a preliminary look into the challenges at Firewalk Studios, offering a glimpse into how insane personal ideologies and professional responsibilities are intersecting with reality in a way that is affecting the studio’s output and overall employee morale.

I think what needs to happen is the workers at that game company need to stop acting like Cowards and speak up like any Free- thinking human being and make it clear that they will NOT go along with the Garbage narrative that, that Lame-Ass/Non-binary or as I would call them Inhuman thinkers, which means brainless Wackjobs whom can't think for themselves because they've been programmed like robotic automatons. This Wackjob is trying so hard to push or force this Garbage narrative onto other workers because they want everyone to think like them, but if workers were to find the power to say *NO* to these Wackjob activists and break their narrative chain completely, then they wouldn't be slaves to a Garbage…
