Landfall Games, Wings Interactive, and Sweet Baby Inc. Are Secretly Controlling the Indie Gaming Scene

Anyone who knows me knows that I'm a big Indie gaming fan. Often even moreso than some of the most popular AAA titles out there. The indie gaming scene has always been a beacon of creative freedom for developers as well - offering alternatives to the mainstream gaming industry.

Or at least, that’s what we’ve all been led to believe...

In a bombshell video published on the Gothic Therapy channel, MasteroftheTDS and his wife Writing Raven uncover quite the tangled web of secret connections between Landfall Games, Wings Interactive, and Sweet Baby Inc. (SBI)—and it’s far worse than anyone could have possibly imagined.

“We already know Sweet Baby Inc. isn’t the only consulting company in gaming, but what if I told you there’s another one? One that not only has connections to SBI but is secretly controlled and even funded by a major studio: Landfall Games.”

Landfall Games’ Secret Business Empire

You may have potentially heard of Landfall Games previously for their lighthearted, physics-based games like Totally Accurate Battle Simulator (TABS) and Clustertruck. But beneath the cutesy surface, Landfall's more than just an indie game developer—it’s running a hidden publishing empire through what looks to be - multiple shell companies.

At the heart of this 'shadow' network is Wings Interactive, a so-called indie funding and consulting group. But as Gothic Therapy goes on to reveal, Wings is no true indie supporter. Wings Interactive is actually a front for Landfall Games, sharing not just the same address in Sweden... but also board members and legal ties.

Here’s what was uncovered:

  • Wings Interactive legally operates under the name Vingar Interactiva AB, registered at the same address as Landfall Games.

  • Multiple companies linked to Landfall—such as Landfall Publishing AB, Landfall Mansion AB, and Landfall Mountain AB—are all operating from the same location.

  • Supposedly “independent” companies like Case Development AB and Broken Worlds AR are actually controlled by Landfall employees.

“Wings Interactive isn’t an indie fund. It’s a shadow publisher allowing Landfall to control games without putting their name on them.”

The Sweet Baby Inc. Connection

If this network wasn’t shady enough, Kim Belair, CEO of Sweet Baby Inc., was revealed by MasteroftheTDS to have sat on Wings Interactive’s selection board. They even found the video where she openly admits it. What's most telling was how Belair alluded to also working on MULTIPLE boards.

“I’ve also been on the advisory board of a few funding bodies, including the Wings fund, which specializes in grants for women and marginalized people working in games.”

-Kim Blair

Known for shaping game narratives through a DEI-driven agenda, Sweet Baby Inc. has long been accused by many gamers in the community of pushing activism into game development at any and all cost behind the scenes.

This discovery suggests to me that Sweet Baby Inc. and Wings Interactive are part of a much larger coordinated effort to control indie game publishing. Not only are they manipulating funding, but they’re also dictating what kinds of stories and narratives are deemed acceptable. That, my friends, is what we call stacking the proverbial 'deck', in their favor.

The Riot Games Connection

Just when you thought the story couldn’t go deeper, Gothic Therapy uncovered another bombshell. In April 2021, League of Legends creator Riot Games contributed $1 million to Wings Interactive for projects from “diverse teams.” This HUGE injection of cash from a major AAA company like Riot raises some serious questions about who's really pulling the strings behind this operation... and why.

Why This Matters

At first glance, organizations like Wings Interactive may seem like they are simply just the champions of diversity and indie development. However, the evidence presented in Gothic Therapy’s video tells a different story—one of shadowy control, hidden agendas, and the deliberate outright manipulation of the gaming industry.

“This isn’t just a couple of companies working together by coincidence. This is a hidden network controlling indie gaming from the shadows.”

 — MasteroftheTDS

With Sweet Baby Inc., Landfall Games, and even Riot Games tied into this hidden network, the indie scene is far from independent. Gamers deserve to know who is really controlling the games they play. These are the people behind changing the playing field and stacking the deck against the natural flow of creativity.

This bombshell report by MasteroftheTDS feels like it's just the beginning. Stay tuned, because we're committed to exposing the truth behind the gaming industry’s dark curtain.
