Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Stole The Show!


A New Date for "Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth"

Square Enix turned heads with the revelation that their ambitious second chapter in the "Final Fantasy 7" remake saga is arriving next year. Slated for a February 29, 2024 release, players were given a sneak peek of what awaits Cloud, Tifa, Aerith, and the rest of the iconic crew. And guess what? It's spanning two discs!



Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Swings Into Focus

Spider-fans were in for a treat with a fresh look at the sprawling New York City landscape in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. Developed by Insomniac Games, this sequel promises an expansive setting that includes Brooklyn and Queens. Plus, there's a parade of new Spidey suits to drool over.


Resident Evil 4 Remake: What's Next?

Capcom is adding more flavor to their "Resident Evil 4" remake with the addition of the original game's Separate Ways DLC. Releasing on September 21, it brings back beloved characters Ada Wong and Albert Wesker. As if that wasn’t enough, there's also news of PlayStation VR2 support coming this winter.


Stepping Into the World of "Avatar"

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is Ubisoft and Massive Entertainment’s new game, letting players navigate the breathtaking world of Pandora. Set between the first two Avatar movies, this game offers a fresh perspective by placing you in the shoes of a Na’vi brought up by the RDA. Journeying through the unseen Western Frontier, players delve into their forgotten lineage. Anticipate its release in 2024.



Other Noteworthy Highlights:

  • Tales of Arise: Beyond the Dawn: Bandai Namco is expanding the universe of their recent "Tales" game. Dive deeper into the story on November 9.

  • Helldivers 2: Witness the revolting Bile Titan, courtesy of Arrowhead Game Studio. This title is dropping on February 8, 2024, available on PS5 and Steam.

  • Baby Steps: From the brains behind QWOP and Ape Out, this quirky walking simulator now flaunts a grappling hook feature. Expect it in 2024 from Devolver Digital.

  • Honkai Star Rail: Already popular on Android, iOS, and Windows PC, this stylish RPG is charting its course to PlayStation 5 on October 11.

  • Foamstars Open Beta: This bubbly shooter from Square Enix invites players for a hands-on experience from September 29 to October 1, exclusively for PS5 players in North America.

  • Fresh DualSense and PS5 Hues: Add a touch of style to your gaming gear with Sony's Deep Earth Collection. It introduces three scintillating colors for DualSense controllers and PS5 shells: Volcanic Red, Cobalt Blue, and Sterling Silver.

Final Fantasy VII is the Neon Genesis of the gaming world. 🙄🙄🙄


I can't say anything here really "grips" me, personally, but I've always had a soft spot for Namco and it's good to see the Tales games are still goin' strong, LOL.
