The upcoming release of the Sega Genesis Mini is shaping up to be one of Sega’s biggest and best products in years. Assuming the emulation is accurate, there’s very little left to complain about (Outside of the decision of including the 3-button controller over the far superior 6).

The Sega Genesis Mini classic console is set for launch in on Sept. 19th 2019. In North America, the Genesis will be sold for $79.99, in Europe the Mega Drive equivalent will cost €69.99 (or €79.99 including two controllers). Both regions come packaged with the original 3-button controllers, which is a bummer for those excited to play games like Street Fighter II. But hey, at least 6 button controllers from Retro Bit will be available for purchase separately.
what do you think of the game list thus far, and are you planning on picking one of these bad boys up at retail come September? Sound off in the comments below!
I kind of want one . I hope we get a Sega CD mini add on later
tmnt hyperstone heist has to come in announcement 4. it's a really great game. i just wish game genie would be built in or at least on-the-spot save states so these games are easier for the older generation as our skills and reaction times have eroded and we don't have time to start quests or games over again when we come back to play.
I've had mine pre-ordered for awhile now and this list only further solidifies my purchase. I'm interested in what the final list might be now. Hopefully we will see a few more surprises.
I have a feeling Shinning Force 2 will make it on the final list
Announcement 3 is the heavyweight champion. Seriously diggin that. Now with 100% less Ecco.
