Someone Built a Gundam Mech in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

A new wave of creativity has swept over the Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom community. In a display of ingenuity, one player has leveraged the game's innovative "Fuse" ability to construct an awe-inspiring and fully functional Gundam Mech in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Released just a few days ago, the game has already witnessed a rush of imaginative creations, but this particular endeavor stands head and shoulders above the rest – quite literally.

Gundam Mech Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Soulbanana
This is impressive tech...err.. mech

Dubbed the "Gundam Banana One," this colossal creation was first showcased on TikTok by a user named Soulbanana. Soulbanana's innovative design features a mech towering over the game's protagonist, Link. The mech’s construction relied heavily on the Ultrahand, a tool used to manipulate and connect different parts in the game.

So towering is this machine that Soulbanana had to employ the Ascend ability to reach the cockpit, signaling the start of a thrilling ride. This is nuts, just watch how it works:

This towering mech, seen in the shared footage, is far from a simple aesthetic wonder. Its intricate design includes wheels, arms, and a handy front plate acting as a shield, all contributing to its functional prowess. Once the mech's cockpit was reached and the controls were manned, Soulbanana took the Gundam Banana One on a rampage across Hyrule, demonstrating the raw power this creation holds.

The mech's wheels propelled it at a surprising speed, enabling swift traversal of the game's expansive terrain. But it's the dual beam emitters, fixed onto the mech's hands, that stole the show. These powerful weapons laid waste to Bokoblin forts, reducing them to rubble in mere seconds. In an impressive display of durability and combat effectiveness, the Gundam Banana One even went toe-to-toe with a Lynel, one of the game's most formidable foes. The front plate shield protected Link, housed in the head section, effectively turning the mech into a moving fortress.

After the footage was shared, it quickly went viral, garnering thousands of views on Twitter and TikTok. The creation sparked a deluge of comments from awe-struck gamers. One Twitter user confessed, "I think it's incredible...I'm building a mechwarrior... and ... CAN"

Soulbanana's ingenious creation serves as a testament to the endless possibilities offered by the Fuse ability in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Gamers are pushing the boundaries of what was thought possible, leveraging this novel mechanic to build intricate structures and even towering mechs. As we marvel at the Gundam Banana One, I'm eagerly anticipating what else the community will bring forth in this exciting new chapter of the Zelda universe!
